This was for a client who wanted to turn a ’34 Ford sedan into a mid-engine roadster pickup. The engine, which sits behind the highly modified cab, is a 350ci LT1 Corvette motor hooked up to a Porsche transaxle that was turned up side down. The body and drivetrain sit on a double-tubed chassis with full independent suspension. Incorporated in the slanted ’34 grille shell is a vertical billet grille insert that gives the truck a modern feel, while the scalloped two-tone paint emulates a ’60s sprint car theme. This truck has actually been completed for some time and has logged thousands of miles.
