Above Photo: Here’s one of Paul’s latest renderings, which was brought to life as a 2013 SEMA show project. Seaside Muffler & Off Road in Seaside, Oregon, built this massive 2012 F-250 Lariat, which rides on a custom-painted BDS 8-inch lift, 22x14 American Force wheels, and 37/13.50R22 Toyo tires.
Paul Kuras has always had a love for cars, and a knack for drawing. In order to learn to better combine his two interests, he went to school at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. There, he studied industrial design and took several visual communication and transportation design courses. His class projects helped him refine his illustrations, and one day, he decided to draw a photo-realistic 1970 Plymouth Superbird as a gift for his wife. His wife liked it so much, she suggested he start drawing cars as a business, and Kuras Custom Renderings was born.
Since 2004, Paul has been working as a freelance designer for a wide array of custom car builders, owners, and shops. Over the years, Paul has designed everything from simple restoration projects to high-budget SEMA builds and has worked directly with builders to see his designs through to completion. When he’s not drawing cars and trucks on the clock, he spends his time on other automotive hobbies, including collecting Hot Wheels, watching NASCAR, and building model cars. If you’d like Paul to create a custom rendering of your project car or truck, you can contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org. To see more of his work, head over to yourautoart.com.
