Here is our latest project vehicle freshly completed with its L&G Enterprises paint scheme, massive 10-inch Full Throttle Suspension lift, and 20-inch Weld Racing wheels on Truxes 40-inch tall tires.
By far one of the most important areas of improvement in a vehicle's exterior look can be had from the addition of body kits and accessories. Case in point: For our latest project vehicle, a brand-new '03 Dodge Ram 2500 Heavy Duty fit with the equally impressive 5.7L V-8 Hemi, we wanted to add even more excitement and create one of the coolest Rams out there. We also wanted to debut the truck at our inaugural Truckin' and Sport Truck Vegas Nationals. For complete coverage on this event, please read elsewhere in this issue. After completing a massive 10-inch lift from Full Throttle Suspension in Fresno, California, and a brand-new matching paint hue from L&G Enterprises in San Dimas, California, we knew we needed one extra final touch to really exaggerate the height of the Dodge's overall look. Like so many of our readers who thumb through the pages of the World's Leading Truck Publication, we too found ourselves doing the exact same thing, looking at all the advertisements for new products we could install and just further complement the overall look of our Dodge.
A closer look reveals the 3-inch cowl scoop on the all-steel Reflexxion hood. Notice how it flows with the truck's original bodyline and still retains a somewhat stock appearance, but with just a hint of attitude.
Well, guess what? We found it. Once we hit the advertisement for Sport Truck Direct located in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona, we quickly learned the company offered new cowl-induction hoods designed to fit a wide variety of vehicles, including Chevys, Fords, and of course, the new Ram-bodied Dodge. A call was placed, and within days, our new Reflexxion steel cowl-induction hood arrived via ground freight to the L&G Enterprises world headquarters subsidiary Custom Truck Shop. Once there, it was painted to match the rest of the truck's exterior sheetmetal, just in time to finish up with the color-sanding and buffing of the truck's exterior. All this was just in the nick of time to meet the harsh deadlines we established for the truck to participate in the State 2 State Cruise and the inaugural Vegas Nationals. A closer look at the all-steel Reflexxion cowl-induction hood available through Sport Truck Direct reveals a hood perfectly matched, with the same bodylines and fitment as the stock hood it is replacing. The real difference, of course, is the 3-inch cowl located directly in the middle of the hood. From the backside of the cowl, the hood is finished quite nicely with a series of small holes that add just the right finishing touch to reveal to occupants there is something not stock about the hood, but not so menacing one cannot see over the cowl. It really is the right blend of performance, style, and function, all in one package.
