Six inches of Superlift suspension combine with 20-inch Devino wheels and 37-inch Toyo rub
It's been said, "It's going to get worse before it's going to get better," and we can prove that actually holds water. I know that not one of us cares to actually have anything get worse before it gets better but it is the road most traveled. We couldn't possibly go into the dark closet of Shane Cox but suffice to say that when he calls his truck and boat "Dirty Laundry" there is plenty good reason for it. For the sake of positivity, we'll just nail down the highlights of Shane's big bag of toys.
Welcoming the warm, sunny locales where anybody would want to play requires just the right type of machinery. For Shane, that equipment consists of a 2005 Dodge Ram Quad Cab and a 2001 Advantage Citation 25. The Dodge started life just a bit on the vanilla side. Consisting of a stock white exterior with charcoal cloth and the weakest factory stereo offering they had, Shane jumped at the chance to make it something more than it was. First on the list was a quick trip to Auto Accessory Warehouse in San Bernardino, California. Once safely on a hydraulic lift, the stock suspension was augmented with a 6-inch Superlift suspension lift. With a few more inches under its beltline, the Dodge had the necessary room to run good-sized rubber. Filling the wheel wells are 20-inch Devino Silos supporting 37x13.50R20 Toyo Mud Terrain traction aids.
This now-tall Dodge was fit from the factory with the incredible Cummins diesel engine. Although well equipped right from the assembly line, the diesel saw a couple of power adders to ease the rigors of towing up some of the long grades between Shane's house and the water he wants to be on. Auto Accessory Warehouse installed an Edge Juice system, complete with an in-cab Attitude digital controller. With the Attitude, the Cummins can be set somewhere between stock and kill. Enhancing the air intake and exhaust capability of the mill is one of K&N's cold air intake systems and a MagnaFlow split rear exit exhaust remover.

Finishing the truck is a bit of color breaking up the Dodge's expanse of boring, white metal. Wyatt's Paint and Body located in San Bernardino, California, was commissioned to render the white into exciting. Shane's only request was that the scheme should match his boat and still look good standing alone. Wyatt's whipped up a blend of Candy Apple Green and gave the truck a dose of shine. Under the lower beltline, a strip of green runs the length of the truck while a tribal style flame licks its way back from the front well to the middle of the bed. Yellow striping accents the already-potent look. A billet grille and billet fuel door finish up the exterior modifications.
On the green double-axle trailer, getting a free ride is Shane's 25-foot Advantage Citation. Bold tribal style gel work maneuvers a green fistful of forking tips down the length of the hull. Powering the deep-V cruiser is a Mercruiser 496ci Mag V-8. The 8.1L engine is rated at 375hp and pushes the boat along the water through a Bravo One drive. Gibson through-hull muffler tips keep the roaring decibels to a law enforcement legal level. Triple Optima batteries keep the boat powered up.
