One of the nice features of the factory roller lifters is that the alignment bars sit on the top of the lifter bores. Aftermarket roller lifters are heavier because the alignment bars must travel up and down with the lifters. The Edelbrock heads have a groove above the lifters that allow the lifters to be replaced without removing the heads.
