Outbreaks usually cause huge dilemmas in cultures and countries all over the world, infecting humans with disease and illnesses, many of which are incurable. But what happens when a custom daily driver is fully infected with a case of an unexplainable nature? The answer is, you show the truck at every truck show around and let the show-goers be the judges and doctors of the illness. In the case of Jeremy Hume's '00 F-150, the illness could best be described as an inflammation of the skin and a sick discoloration located on the surface. After a closer inspection, we found the truck to be suffering from a world-class case of torched flames caused by superior talent and killer paint.
Jeremy first noticed symptoms in his F-150 when he became disgruntled with the F-150's original plain-white paint color. Feelings of depression and serious neglect were treated by Chris Shelton, of Shelton Designs in Las Vegas. Treatment led Jeremy to a dermatologist that recommended Jeremy remove the truck's surface blemishes. To help the truck look smoother, the scalpel was brought out, shaving the fenders, antenna, wiper jets, and even the unsightly bubble of a tailgate handle. Helping in the area of self-esteem, Jeremy added a Lightning front bumper and taillights, and matching billet grilles. While under treatment, the F-150 received shots from a paint gun, injecting the truck with a 50/50 blend of House of Kolor Sunset Pearl and Sunrise Pearl as a basecoat.

Jeremy's truck was coming around but still lacked the vigor and energy typically associated with a custom truck. To remedy these symptoms, Chris masked out serious tribal flames and filled them with Orion Silver as a basecoat, then injected the flames with Magenta Kandy. To finish the skin's treatment, Chris pinstriped the flames with a custom mix of green, good for separating the colors into their respected regions. The skin looked much better now, but the body of the truck was suffering from acrophobia. To remedy this serious illness, Jeremy dropped the truck off at his own personal doctor, The Custom Shop located in Las Vegas.
The team at The Custom Shop knew the truck needed urgent medical attention and instantly brought out the air tools. DJM was the medicine of choice, and a strong dose of lowering components was prescribed to give the truck a 5/7 drop. The 4-inch drop arms, Lightning springs, and Belltech drop shocks aided in the front of the truck dropping, and a rear C-notch and flip kit brought the back end closer to the medical table. As is the case in many medical treatments, this did not cure the entire problem, and again the F-150 suffered from depression. Jeremy decided not to pull the plug on the truck and instead bolted on a set of Veloche Ventosso 22-inch wheels under the surgically repaired fenders. Keeping the wheels protected are Pirelli Scorpio Z tires measuring in at a massive P295/30ZR22. Now the truck had renewed energy, but the stamina was still lacking.

Again, The Custom Shop knew just what the doctor ordered, and installed an AIRAID intake and a Flowmaster after-cat exhaust system. Breathing much easier and exhaling with strength, the F-150 had much more spring in its step. Now Jeremy's truck was back to normal, only now normal was totally tricked-out and show-truck worthy. After a close call in the E.R., the F-150 was salvaged as only a custom truck can be, with pride, talent, and a little help from friends.
