Wrecks are the arch nemesis of custom trucks. Damage, especially severe damage to a one-off, fully-built rig, brings tears to our eyes. However, wreck a totally stock truck and we could care less--hope you're OK. Harold Pourciau, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, inherited a family truck from his father, and in a two-week span the truck was hit head-on and rear-ended. Bummer, we know, but Harold saw this as a blessing and a perfect time to take his father's '76 F-100 and turn it into a certifiable street cruiser.

Harold is a quiet guy who doesn't need graphics or bright colors to make a statement, so he appropriately decided to paint the truck a classy color. Before the paint was spilled onto the truck's skin, the handles were shaved, along with the mirrors, gas door, driprails, cab seams, tailgate, and stake pockets. Also receiving special attention were the front bumper, rear roll pan, and billet grille. After the body mods, Randy Forbes and Paul Berwick masterfully applied the PPG Meadow Metallic Green to every surface of the F-100.

Harold brought his clean, classic aesthetic to every inch of the interior. Dash: shaved. Seats: covered. Radio: eliminated. Gauges: Auto Meter. Opening the smoothed doors reveals a super-clean cabin planned from the get-go and fit for a king. No frills, just function. Engage the starter and get ready to hear one of Blue Oval's finest. Powering the green beauty is a modified Ford 302ci V-8 fitted with 10.5:1 compression, a Comp Cams camshaft with 0.544 lift and 268 degrees of duration, and ceramic-coated Hedman headers with Flowmaster mufflers. Pushing the power to the pavement is a C6 tranny with B&M Shift Improver Kit and Ford 9-inch with 3:70 Richmond gears. No more wrecks for this F-100, because no one can catch the thing.

For added looks, the plan to drop the truck was devised with the sweet sound of air accompanying every stop. Dropping the front are Firestone 'bags with DJM Dream Beams and Monroe shocks. Out back, a Pete and Jake's four-link keeps the Firestone 'bags square, and thanks to his buddy L.A., the entire install was done in the driveway. Tucking nicely at each corner are 20-inch American Racing wheels with sweet, painted spokes and custom rear center caps built by Harold.

Cautious driving is now a daily habit as Harold doesn't want his beauty tampered with or, worse, wrecked. Harold, don't worry about it; if you wreck it, just imagine what you could do to it. After all, chaos is just the beginning.
