Hey, if we turn you down for the cover and still offer to shoot your truck for a feature, consider that a compliment in its own right. We probably love the truck, but feel it is not cover-worthy. If one of our competitors offers you a cover, than by all means, go for it. There are a lot of quality-built trucks out there, and we certainly don't have the market cornered for every truck in the world, nor will we promise every truck owner we will shoot a cover. After all, there are only 13 for us, and 12 for the competition, so we offer a little more value from that standpoint. But, keep in mind, we run literally 14-17 feature trucks per issue. Add that up with 13 annual issues, and that's close to 200 trucks per year that we shoot. There are 13 covers, so do the numbers. Do you think we will just settle for a truck we didn't really think was truly cover-worthy?
Keep in mind that some of our covers are advertiser-owned vehicles. Is this a problem? To some people, maybe, but to us, it shows the status of the industry. It shows our advertisers are actual users of the product, and the advertisers' vehicles are representative of the businesses. For all you advertisers of Truckin', we appreciate your continued support, but don't begin to imagine that just because you spend money with us, your shop vehicle will wind up on the cover of the magazine. Odds are, it won't. Build something cool like our readers' trucks, and it might - refer to all of the above information on how to get your truck featured in our publication. It's not rocket science. Build something cool and let us know about it, and we will make your dreams come true.
