I have an '09 Colorado with the 5.3L V-8 in it that I love. I have purchased many parts for it already, but the suspension is in need of some love and I really want to do air-ride. If you could point me in the right direction for where to look I would appreciate it. I'm good at swinging a wrench and laying a bead, so most of this install can be done at my house, but I was hoping to locate a bolt-on kit. This magazine is the only one in my house that doesn't hit the trash after a month. I feel like I shouldn't throw out my bible of info!
The V-8 in the Colorado really brings that truck to life and it's nice knowing there is plenty of aftermarket support for that engine if you want to make horsepower additions. As for your air suspension system, your best bet is to contact Michigan Metal Works (www.michiganmetalworks.com) for its front kit with control arms and gather a universal four-link for the rear. You will still have to do plenty of welding, but the Michigan Metal Works front arms will help immensely.
I was reading the issue with the Project Street Shark '09 Suzuki Equator custom paintjob. I am trying to find the grille insert for the Equator you guys used. I am working on my personal vehicle and have been searching for the black grille. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
We are glad that our little street machine could be an inspiration for your truck. Our grille is a Speed Grille insert from Street Scene (www.streetsceneeq.com). We painted it black and added a custom painted "S" logo for good measure so everyone would know we were blowing by them in a supercharged Suzuki.
