2009 marked the 18th year of the popular Slamfest show, held at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa. We usually look forward to warm, humid weather this time of year when traveling east for this particular show, but not this time around. The weather was unusually cold, and the strong winds blew in a great collection of mini, fullsize, and classic trucks from every direction. The icy breeze certainly made for an interesting bikini contest, that's for sure. Mini Madness, the hosting truck club, has done a great job over the years at building lots of positive hype surrounding their annual show, which has come to be a must-hit event for any hard-core truck fiend on the East Coast. Special thanks to TC, Callie, and the entire Mini Madness crew for another great show! Go ahead and mark your calendars for next year's show, held October 2-3, at the Alachua County Fairgrounds, in Gainesville, Florida.
