Layd Out At The Park 2010 - Come Get Layd At The Park!

Nice weather, nice trucks, good friends, new friends, and fun! That's about all it really takes to have a good truck show. With all of that in one place you couldn't ask for more. Jeffrey Dillard and his crew once again put on one of the best shows on the east coast with their 2010 edition of Layd Out at the Park. There were more than 700 vehicles packing Cherokee Park in Morristown, Tennessee, while Mother Nature was kind enough to let in some warm weather and sunshine for the event. She must be trying to make up for the snow she gave this show a couple years ago. The location is a perfect spot for a show of this size due to its gently rolling grass hills, covered picnic areas, and a huge stage nestled in a low spot in the hills that provides an amphitheatre for the awards ceremony and events like the bikini contest. There was even a photo shoot with Playboy model Amanda King. Bands also played off and on throughout the weekend as well as a DJ to keep the crowd entertained. Over in the vendor area, you could find anything from air ride parts, to T-shirts and more. Companies suc as Suicide Doors, Drop Em Wear, Metal Worx, Layd Out Video, Stylin Solution, and Little Shop of Horrors, just to name a few, were set up peddling their merchandise. The vendor area was also home to the parking area for the Debut for Dollars vehicles. A huge cash prize was given to the vehicle that scored the highest of all those that had never been to a show or had shown up in a magazine anywhere. The winner of this year's money went to Ron Penwell and his Smith Chassis Works-built Mazda.
