Does it ever really pay off? All of those waxings, polishing the wheels every week, and the endless cleanings of the interior, engine, and bed - does it ever really pay off?
A bold yes can be heard from any show participant as people gaze at your hard work with respect, envy, and admiration. For the few and the proud that create show trucks, you understand that the effort is worth it. At our 2003 Truckin' Nationals, we saw a huge number of great-looking trucks that deservingly received awards for all of the hard work put into them. Whether it was Best Paint, Best Engine, or even one of the placement awards, the trophy said it all - job well done. To those who venture onto the show circuit, you know the competition is fierce and often times comes down to the most minute details. Whether it's the stainless bolts used in the engine bay, a painted dash, or even a sparkling-clean bed, the best trucks are found when the owners love the details. As show truck aficionados, we appreciate your hard work, and you have our upmost respect. So for those of you cruising around looking at these investments, next time you see a truck that knocks your socks off, find the owner, shake his or her hand, and tell them job well done, because we all know it is worth it.
