On November 22, Pharcyde Customs held the infamous November Fest at the Town Lake in Tempe, Arizona. In true showoff fashion, a record number of automotive enthusiasts, as well as hard-core showoffs turned out for the event, filling the facility and spilling out into neighboring parking lots.
The November Fest holds a special place in everyone's heart, since it was originally started to benefit a wonderful friend, Chris Larson, after he was tragically injured in an automotive accident eight years ago. Ever since, Pharcyde has hosted its benefit car show every November. Every penny made is donated to a charity of Pharcyde's choice, and this year it was the East Valley Child Crisis Center.
The Pharcyde Customs' November Fest is the third-biggest automotive event of the season, behind Barrett Jackson and Goodguys. This may be because it is smack dab in the middle of the year, when most cars are being finished and new projects are getting started. This year's sponsors included companies such as Drew Brothers Customs, NTNS Grafix, Unique 4x4, AIM Industries, Frye Fabrication, Apex, Olin Designs, Intense Motorsports, Superior Racing Development, Fry Fabrications, and Unique Car Audio & Accessories.
Besides strolling the competition aisles checking out the new rides, you could also take a stroll along the lakefront or even rent a paddleboat for a few hours. If eating was more your thing, you could always visit the infamous Mill Avenue, where you could indulge your tastes in hundreds of restaurants. If mingling with infamous celebrities is more your style, then the visit from professional boxer Mike Tyson would have made your day.
Since its inception, the November Fest has since become one of the trademarks for the club scene. Anyone who has ever owned a custom ride has at one time or another heard of this event. The November Fest is a one-of-a-kind production and will continue to become more popular as Pharcyde makes it a point to intertwine this show with other popular events. With the competition staying ahead of its time and the crowds growing at an amazing rate, the November Fest is continuing to become a growing tradition.
