Last April 2-4, truck enthusiasts converged in Las Vegas to show off their rides for the Truckin' and Sport Truck Las Vegas Nationals event. After a night and day of rain and subsequent drying, polishing, and fretting, at 11:30 p.m., a crowd of eager truck fans, gambling tourists, excited passersby, and other colorful characters bellied up to our stage on Fremont Street to find out who would win the top awards of the show or to simply see what all the fuss was about. Of the hundreds of entrees in competition, 33 truck owners or their surrogates (it wasn't always clear who was who) stumbled to the stage by ones, twos, and fours to receive trophies representing some of the best trucks west of the Rockies. Read on for our roster of deserving prize winners.
