2004 Truckin' & 4x4 Nationals

Twice a year Truckin' magazine has the pleasure of personally involving ourselves with a truck show. Just before SEMA we invited our readers to meet us in Phoenix, Arizona, at Firebird Raceway for some fun in the sun. With something for everyone, the Truckin' & 4x4 Nationals is not to be missed. If you didn't show your face in Arizona, you missed the opportunity to view some of the finest trucks in the West. Saturday, October 23, and Sunday, October 24, showcased great spectator fun in the form of a Meguiar's show 'n' shine, monster truck racing, a tough truck challenge, rockcrawling, vendors and manufacturers, as well as a "who could forget" bikini contest. Be on the lookout for 2005's show, because it's not to be missed.

FULLSIZE TRUCKS

Definitely the hottest Nissan Titan at the event was this Troy Lee Designs off-road-ready rendition.
The new classic '73-'87 Chevys are popping up everywhere.	The ever-popular eBay Editor's Charity Challenge project saw its share of fans over the weekend.
	Kelderman Air Ride had a spankin' new Harley-Davidson Ford F-250 sitting high on Kelderman's own air suspension lift kit.

DRAG RACING

You think you can drag race, huh? Check out the steel-hard stare of this young participant as she eyes the tree, waiting for the green light to drop so she can smoke that plastic front wheel.

BIKINI CONTEST

Participants lined up to vie for the crowning of Miss Truckin' & 4x4 Nationals.

MINI-TRUCKS

You can't go wrong in the mini-truck world with an early Datsun done retro-rod style.	Volkswagen powered and detailed to the max, this Toyota garnered attention from open to close.
This S-10 had the dubious pleasure of being part of our caravan to Phoenix in State to State Cruise on October 22.

CLASSIC TRUCKS

This stock-bodied classic C10 had a beautiful interior and, as you can see, a hammered stance. We loved it.
The '67-'72 Chevy trucks still give us goosebumps when done right. Case in point, this bright-red hauler, which some of you may recognize from our very pages.
A classy body on all-new underpinnings is the way to go. We'd pull a trailer with this awesome Ford any day.

0FF ROAD

This about sums up the down-right fantastic display of off-road toys at the Truckin' & 4x4 Nationals. High-flying action and head-to-head truck romping had the crowded spectator stands full from dawn to dusk. Not one person was sitting down when Bigfoot pulled this insane air.

VENDORS, VENDORS, VENDORS

Arizona's own Chassis Tech had a full array of toys displayed, including its recently featured sky-high Hummer H2.
Helping to fill in some of the off-road portion of our show, Fabtech traveled all the way from California to display its extreme performance bolt-on lift kits.
