Being on the water with good friends in a hot boat on a beautiful summer day can make a person feel like there is no tomorrow. A dreaminess comes over you, sparking an addiction to water for which there is no cure. It is an addiction with highs that are impossible to convey to someone not actively participating. Long live our quests for a glassy day.
Jokers Wild Promotions invited the Truckin' crew to the Mecca known as Lake Havasu for a little fun in the sun at the annual Dana Boats regatta-an offer that we couldn't pass up.
We hopped into one of the boats and made our way to a secluded cove for an aerial photo of participants and their boats before being whisked away at near triple-digit speeds to the first stop on the list. Lined up and raring for action, each boat was sent running under the helicopter. We stayed seaside for photography and ran with the bulls for the poker run. After the final Dana boat headed for the trailer, we packed up for the day and went in for the night with fresh memories. A night full of dreams of the summer solstice awaited us.
