Pretty girls were everywhere.

Started in order to assist a critically injured club member, Blooddrag has become a Florida tradition, now in its sixth year. Healthy and happy members of Xtreme Lowz didn't need the assistance of the South Florida Blood Bank this year as they rolled in from around the country to lend their support for this much-anticipated party. Chapter members from Arizona, Nevada, Florida, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia as well as California descended on the show to ensure its success.

Moving the event to its new site in Live Oak, Florida, Eddy Cebreco and his army of club members took over the Suwanee County Airport for a nonstop weekend of automotive activities. More than 650 vehicles and 4,000 spectators checked out the new party spot. Many had arrived Friday, but by Saturday morning, the line of show vehicles stretched out to the main highway as drivers began displaying their vehicles on both sides of the half-mile taxiway. Thanks to the huge open display areas, this year's show was a true all-inclusive event, with street rods on the southern end and trucks and imports on the other.

Jim McHugh of Acrylic Concepts made an amazing variety of trophies.

A dozen local food vendors made certain the crowd was never running on empty. Spectators had plenty of options to choose from thanks to booths from Scrape-N-Customs, Drop 'em Wear?, Godfather Customs, Wheel Stop, Custom Illusionz, and Q&C Car Audio. XtremeAudioSoundOffs.com and MMATS sponsored the stereo competition Saturday afternoon that saw the audiohedz rattling their windows, but the big event everyone was waiting for was the scrapin' contest on Saturday night.

Since the title of this event has the word "drag" in it, they're naturally a big part of the evening entertainment. Showers of sparks were displayed as truckers railed their body-dropped creations. Sunday afternoon brought the bikini contest, which added another dimension to the fun, and the award ceremony sent more than 380 drivers home with permanent reminders of their weekend. The specialty awards by Jim McHugh of Acrylic Concepts were a treat in themselves. Check out the website at www.blooddraginc.com.
