2005 Ford F100 Super Nationals Pro Street
Ground-poundin' pro-street is a timeless trend.

The Ford F-100 Super Nationals and Truckin' magazine go way back, back when the show was held in Chimney Rock, North Carolina, in 1979. Pat Ford and his brother Dan were young and promising show promoters from South Carolina. That was then

This is now. Some 27 years later, thousands of Ford F-1, F-100, and F-150 enthusiasts from all over United States and Canada invaded Knoxville, Tennessee's, Chilhowee Park to celebrate a Blue Oval holiday in the South. The show had outgrown the facilities of its past. It is currently enjoying its second year at Chilhowee Park, with its picturesque lake, rolling hills, and shady trees. The hundreds of Ford classics are displayed throughout the luscious grounds. The show participants have grown together over the years, as Pat says: "We're all one happy Ford family." The F-100 Super Nationals has seen multiple generations compete and contribute for more than a quarter of a century. It is amazing to witness the folks' passion and love for their trucks, but more importantly is the passion and love for each other's friendship.

As the show materialized on Thursday morning, every aftermarket vendor, swap meet vendor, and food vendor was in place and ready to take on all enthusiasts and spectators. As the show became enthralled with more vehicles and activities during the two day experience, photo journalists were able to take advantage of the plentiful Ford F-1s, F-100s, F-150s and even the mighty Falcon Rancheros during our show coverage and exceptional feature shoots.

The 56,000-square-foot, air-conditioned Jacobs Exhibition Hall was jam-packed for the award ceremony. Pat Ford knows better than anyone that a promoter is only as good as the staff. The success of the Ford F-100 Super Nationals is a reflection of Pat and Jan Ford's love and passion for people.

We would like to give our greatest appreciation to Pat and Jan for their wonderful and professional job promoting and hosting the Ford F-100 Super Nationals. At next year's Super Nationals the Featured Ford Guest will be the Bronco. Another major attraction is the fully customized Ford F-100 Giveaway truck-an instant turnkey, be cool ride.
