It doesn't matter what, when, or where, life is full of the unique and the interestingly different. This classification doesn't exclude man and his innovative machines.

When we think of weird and wild custom rides, two builders come to mind: George Barris and the late Ed Roth. Barris is known for the Ala Cart and for his wild TV cars, including: the Batmobile, the Munsters' Koach, the Dukes of Hazzard's General Lee, the Monkees' Monkeemobile, Ghostbusters' ECTO-1, the Beach Boys' Little Deuce Coupe, and the the Flintstones' Flintmobile.

Roth is remembered for his "Rat Fink" characters: Outlaw, Beatnik Bandit, Road Agent, Tweety Pie, Wild Child, and Big "T." These two icons, Roth and Barris, are responsible for constructing the planet's sickest rides during the '50s and '60s.

These days we occasionally come across some interesting creations from the custom truck world with weird interpretations of a variety of styles, including: minis, early- or late-model rides, fullsize rides, SUVs, and classics. It doesn't matter if it's a complete sheetmetal transformation, or some insane engine swap. We've found some of these abnormal configurations interesting, even entertaining. Who knows, you might recognize your own creation on the following pages.

With all the events we attend during the show season, we've captured many oddly creative creations. We thought it was about time to share some of these unique custom haulers with our readers.
