With the stance, performance, and exterior looks wrapped up, Mike Spagnola and Tom Urbaniak turned their attention to addressing the truck's in-cab creature comforts. First, an ear-piercing and heart-thumping audio system was designed and installed over at Audio Innovations in Glendora. Car stereo sound expert Joe Provenzano filled the dash with an Audiovox head unit and a TV monitor, backed by 16 speakers, including three 12-inch Cerwin-Vega subwoofers. Cerwin-Vega mids and separates fill the front and rear doors, while Arc Audio amplifiers mounted on the back cab wall provide ample thumping power. A total of four Audiovox TV monitors fill the cab, with a monitor in each headrest, one overhead console monitor, and one in the dash. An Audiovox navigation system helps any Street Scene employee who gets behind the wheel find their way while listening to their favorite tunes on the crystal clear sound system.
To complement the inside entertainment amenities, the factory upholstery was spiced up with black suede centers on the stock black leather by Car Craft of Carson, California. The stitching pros at Car Craft recovered the door panels with black leather and suede with yellow stitching, and the dash with black suede and leather for a high-tech look. Up top, a black suede headliner blends in with the other elegant interior upgrades. Certain areas of the dash and door panels were treated to both an aluminum and carbon fiber look by Phoenix Images of Rowlett, Texas. Tricking out the stock steering wheel was American Stitches of Mesquite, Texas, giving the wheel a unique aluminum look. Billet Superstore in Anaheim, California, took care of installing all the trick interior accents. In addition to all the visual and electronic upgrades present on Street Scene's sensational Ford is a state-of-the-art Windows-based computer system by Eleet Systems which can store up to 1,000 CDs and 20 DVDs, and features a program which can link up to a home computer, allowing the operator to turn on home amenities from the vehicle. Imagine pulling up to your house and having the lights turned on and the Jacuzzi ready to enjoy. Now. that is state-of-the-art technology.
Since its completion, Street Scene's bright-yellow beauty was displayed in the Ford Motor Company booth at SEMA and the NASCAR Race in Florida, the week after SEMA. After exploring all the custom possibilities of Ford's new F-150, Street Scene Equipment has developed more than 100 part numbers for the truck. This project would not be as successful as it has been without the assistance of the staff of L&G Enterprises, Sandy Walsh of Ford Motor Company, House of Kolors, Joe Provenzano of Audio Innovations, Colby Mcghee of Billet Superstore, and all of the product contributors. When it comes to custom trucks created in under six months, it does not get much better than Street Scene's new F-150.
