Understanding the NHRA drag laws of safety, Chad built a custom eight-point rollcage out of chrome-moly steel. Strapping into the rocket is comfortable and safe, thanks to '01 Dodge Viper racing seats with S-Line five-point safety harnesses. A '98 GMC lost its dash, and it now resides in Chad's custom hauler behind the 15-inch Budnik billet steering wheel with a tan leather wrap. Even the door panels were covered in matching tan leather.
Tunes had to be loud to overcome the roar of the blown big-block, and Rockford Fosgate audio equipment was chosen to play the soundtracks of Chad's favorite movies. The trick center console was fabricated at Custom Image and houses a 10-inch JL Audio sub, Hurst shifter, and air gauges for the Air Ride system. Auto Meter gauges fill the A-pillar and give Chad instant readings on boost, fuel pressure, and trans temp. All of the truck's wiring was accomplished using a Painless Wiring harness, and the electrical work was performed by the crew at Custom Image Motorsports
Now when Chad asks for permission to buzz the tower, the flight tower operator has no choice but to give the OK, and the sound of 1,000 ponies can be heard by all who watch the green missile launch by. There is no replacement for displacement, and when you add 22 pounds of boost to the mix, one's need for speed can fully be realized. Top Gun, eat your heart out.
