The truck exhibits a mildly rakish lean thanks to H&R height-adjustable coilovers that help drop the front 1 to 4 inches and the replacement of the factory 2-inch lift block with special H&R 1-1/2-inch lowering shackles in the rear suspension. Other suspension components include H&R Performance Shocks and an H&R 38mm front sway bar that includes Purim bushing with Teflon fabric inserts. Standing in for the factory brakes are Baer 15-inch Extreme Plus brakes with six-piston Alcon calipers and matching rear rotors. Under the hood lies a stock 5.4L EFI V-8 with a Ford tow package cooler driving a four-speed automatic tranny with Overdrive and a limited-slip axle with a 3.73:1 drive ratio, evacuated by a Flowmaster Force II after-cat exhaust with dual-polished 2-1/2-inch tips.

Inside the cab, H&R customized the front seats and door panels with black organic bluff-leather and orange freedom stitching for an overall look that matches the vehicle's exterior. The centers of the seats have black organic perforated leather. The factory FX4 instrument cluster is framed by the factory FX4 black-leather steering wheel, augmented by a custom billet aluminum gauge panel, built by Camtech Precision, that boasts blue-glowing Auto Meter Cobalt oil pressure, temperature, and boost gauges.

Pioneer powers the audio/video system. Configured to please riders and onlookers, the amp rack and speaker enclosure combo lurks in a custom box that balloons from the space where the rear seats used to be. It houses two video monitors, two two-way speakers, a pair of 12-inch subwoofers, and three amplifiers that together deliver 2,000 watts of power. Enhanced LED lighting and GT F-150 graphics spice up this electro-audio presentation. The center console, dash accents, and door panels are painted to match the titanium graphite and light-silver metallic hues of the enclosure. Sourcing the system is a DVD navigation unit, AM/FM/DVD/VCD/CD/MP3 tuner, and XM tuner box and antenna. Dynamat Xtreme muffles any road noise or unwanted sound system vibration.

Considering trucks these days are a far cry from the hay haulers of yesteryear and are today's all-purpose performance vehicle, this truck's musclecar motif meshes perfectly. Apparently, Ford agreed and awarded H&R the Outstanding Achievement in Design award and displayed the truck in its booth at SEMA. Since then, the truck has made an appearance at the Ford Winston Cup Race in Homestead, Florida - a fitting venue for a pickup with a ponycar heart.
