The bare bed interior walls and floors received a cozy Bed Rug to create a finished appearance. To secure the audio and DVD components inside the bed, a Pace-Edwards electric Roll Top aluminum bedcover was polished at California Powder Coatings' facility. A set of Thule Sport Racks was fastened to carry assorted sports gear, such as snowboards, surfboards, and bicycles, mounted atop the Pace-Edwards electric Roll Top on its framerails. This allowed the Roll Top to be activated, opening and closing the cover. The surfboards pictured are from Surftech.
Suspension tweaking and installation was executed by the team at California Truck Accessories, where they bolted up a DJM 4/6 drop with Edelbrock shocks attached at each corner. The truck's deceleration power was enhanced by installing aggressive Stainless Steel Brake Company 14-inch ball-milled brake rotors and dual-piston calipers. A set of shiny 22-inch EVO Andro wheels by Weld Racing is encased by P285/35R22 BFGoodrich rubber.
All the custom-made billet accessories are designed and made by DeBerti Designs/Trenz. Starting with the front grille pieces, they were powdercoated red and polished to a mirror finish. The DeBerti Designs/Trenz rear polished aluminum bumper caps have the SS emblem scribed into the pieces. A DeBerti Designs/Trenz polished billet aluminum third brake light and antenna complete the exterior bling-bling. The internal accessories consist of a DeBerti Designs/Trenz flamed billet steering wheel, red-flamed billet pedals, a gearshift handle, doorsill entry plates, and door panel polished aluminum plates with the SS emblem inserts.
To achieve a stylish, comfortable interior, the seats and door panels were sent over to Classic Soft Trim, where they were stitched with gray leather with red carbon-fiber inserts and red stitching. The matching gray leather door panels received red carbon-fiber inserts with SS logo cutouts.
The entire truck was built by shops in the Bakersfield zip code, except Classic Soft Trim, which is up historic Highway 99 in Fresno.
