Ripping rubber to shreds comes via a 680hp, 5.4L Lightning motor equipped with a Procharger huffer blowing 15 psi of boost into the blueprinted block. Modified by SVC Motorsports in Phoenix, the engine is aided by a custom aluminum intake, a Nitrous Express kit, JBA headers, and a Dynomax exhaust. The supercharger whine spools up fast thanks to the 4.30 gears and the tuned transmission. Gas runs just as fast thanks to the 20-gallon fuel cell and the V-8's unquenchable thirst
Handling all of the ponies is a modified four-link with a powdercoated wishbone and an adjustable suspension incorporating Firestone airbags at each corner. Jeremy pats himself on the back for this slick install. Dumped low with the air out, the 22x9-1/2-inch Dub wheels are quickly swallowed up by the fenders. With the frame on the ground, the only thing protecting those large wheels are the Dunlop tires measuring 285/35R22 front and rear
Keeping the heads turning after the smoke fades is a custom two-tone paintjob combining flames and white pinstriping. Jeremy shaved the door handles, antenna, and emblems, and expertly added the roll pan and sliding ragtop. Filling his own paint gun with PPG's finest coatings, Jeremy applied black, Fast Red, and Orange Pearl to finish off the body. After flashing his talents on the exterior, Jeremy popped open the doors and let a host of interior craftsmen do their best.
Soundwerks in Phoenix, built the plexiglass subwoofer enclosure that houses the two 13-1/12-inch W7 subs from JL Audio. Soundwerks also installed the Alpine head unit, the JL Audio mids, and the three JL Audio amplifiers. Beginning in the front of the Expedition, the crazy fiberglass enclosure is home to the air switches, nitrous bottle, Xbox, and a 7-inch monitor.Soundwerks took care of this slick install as well, right before mounting the 15-inch flip-down in the headliner. The Interior Shop, also located in Phoenix, wrapped the door panels, headliner, and Recaro racing seats in gray and black tweed, then finished the dash by painting it PPG red
Jeremy could not have been happier with the finished result and the experience of putting together a full-blown custom. Now he could leave the confines of his garage and actually burn some rubber. Completing the Expedition left Jeremy indebted to several people, including his wife, Kandice, Joe at MHT wheels, and his own shop, Tire Masters.
