Chevy has introduced its latest Tahoe, redesigned for the '07 model year. Here are some high points: Buyers can choose from a Vortec 5.3L V-8 with 320 hp, 335 lb-ft., and displacement-on-demand, or a Vortec 4.8L V-8 that will come later for 2WD models. Fuel economy is touted at 20.5 mpg for 2WD and 20.1 mpg For 4WD Tahoes. Towing is rated at 7,700 pounds for the 4WD model. Chevrolet stresses improved safety and decreased cabin noise. The '07 Tahoe will come in three trim levels: LS, LT, and LTZ, with the LT differentiated further with LT-1, LT-2 and LT-3. Keep your eyes peeled on Truckin' for a closer look at Chevy's new Tahoe.

Frankfurt Auto Show 2006
The Frankfurt Auto Show just wrapped up on Sept. 25. Automakers strutted their stuff before a Teutonic crowd in one of Europe's premier automotive events. Here is a glimpse at some of the SUVs unveiled or highlighted at the show.

By the time you read this, you might think that the storms are old news. But that's not the case. The impact of Hurricane Katrina will be felt by the residents of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama for years, not to mention those who live in neighboring states and have taken in those displaced by the storm. As for those people whose homes were damaged or destroyed or who were forced to leave so that the affected cities can be rehabilitated, they continue to need support. Want to help?
