Pop the hood and you'll find a clean engine bay that means all business. The 4.8L is equipped with a cone-style air filter, Flowmaster 40-series mufflers, and an Escalade 6.0L manifold cover. DIB Customs built inner fenders for the truck that will house 24-inch wheels, and Travis Toddo applied his smooth hand in the form of silver pinstriping on each side.
With everything looking great, Matt now wanted the truck to lay on the ground and in order to appease his desires, an airbag suspension was ordered and shipped to his driveway. Up front, Matt bolted on a set of Air Ride Technologies Strong Arms, McGaughy's 2-inch drop spindles, and set of Slam Specialties airbags. Out back, a KP Components four-link with Airlift 'bags dumps the rear and an 8-1/2-gallon air tank, 3/8-inch stainless hardlines, and 3/8-inch SMC valves keep everything lifting and lowering on demand. A 9-inch Suicide Doors C-notch inserted by Dave Jones keeps clearance in the rear to a maximum. Filling each fender are the finest billet wheels offered by Intro. Twenty-two inch Pentia 6 billet hoops are wrapped in 265/35R22 Nitto 420S tires in the front and 24x10-inch Penita 6 billet wheels are shod in 295/35R24 out back. Baer Aluma Sport 14-inch cross-drilled and slotted rotors stop the front and rear with equal ferocity.
The final work is one of art with no graphics, no flames, just a clean paint job, multiple body mods, and huge 24s in the back. Matt wrote that people kept telling him he was wasting his money but he just ignored the criticism and work hard to build the truck of his dreams. Thanks, Matt. Your truck is just what our magazine needed.
