Patrick's love for the water drew him to DCB's showroom, where he set up the purchase of an '06 Mach 26. Ordered with the mid-cabin and open bow, the cat hull is powered by one of the most popular engine choices on the water right now; a Mercruiser 496HO backed by a Bravo 1X drive. The 496's roar is muffled a bit, thanks to Gibson transom-mount mufflers. RareKoncepts.com designed a one-off gel scheme for the boat ensuring it does not blend into the crowds on the lake. Further customizing was handled during the forming of the hull when DCB half-capped the boat with a stainless rub rail running only on the sides. This boat marks the first Mach 26 to be built with no inner side panels. Instead, the gunnels are coated in carbon-vinyl and side consoles run down each interior wall. Green LED mood lighting sets the stage when the lights go down. Added entertainment is thanks to Chris Rozmus, who set up Patrick with an Alpine 9855 CD/MP3/XM receiver and an iPod adapter. That, in turn, controls one JL Audio 500.1 subwoofer amplifier and one JL Audio e6450 satellite amplifier. Two pairs of Focal Polyglass 6-1/2-inch coaxials and two JL 12w6 subwoofers entertain owner and guests alike. The piece de resistance in this DCB is the fully polished, custom Boat Bling engine cover. Patrick is especially proud of it due to the fact that www.boatbling.net is his own personal business, which has exploded, thanks to a tight boating community. The Mach rides in style to and from the water on a triple Extreme trailer. Seventeen-inch wheels and Hankook tires sparkle under the rest of the trailer's polished stainless sheen, while the shortened fenders and custom tails fit to each side of the trailer. Extreme even painted the trailer in matching GM Greystone Metallic to match the truck and together they make a perfect pair.
With a high-profile business and a past littered with customized vehicles, Patrick has achieved his dream of being, one day, featured in the same magazine as his dearly departed friend. We're glad we could oblige. With a couple trucks already done and a boat to boot, it will only be a matter of time before getting photographed again. We'll wait and see what happens next.
