1997 Chevy Silverado - Igniter

Deon Fleming of Jackson, Mississippi, has a custom license plate, which reads "Acts 19." As written in the Bible, Paul asks the people of Ephesus if they believe (in Christ). Deon sure does, even though he went through some hard times to get his truck where it is today. His wife Felicia calls the truck Deon's other woman, because he spends so much time and money on his '97 Silverado. So, how does Deon always get into trouble? It's easy: his truck starts it all with tribal flames, 'bags, and 22s. Anybody need a light?

Deon purchased his Chevy in March of '97 when the truck was still brand new. Deciding to turn his truck into a showpiece was an easy decision in the summer of '01, because the truck had been faithful for years and it was now Deon's turn to trick it out. Starting with the suspension, Keith Jackson installed Belltech drop spindles, Ground Force shocks, and Contitech airbags up front to get the nose laying low. Out back, a mono-leaf setup uses another pair of Contitech airbags with 1/2-inch GC valves, one 450 compressor, and one 7-gallon tank to keep the system aired up. Stuffed under each fender are 22-inch Foose Speedster wheels wrapped in Hankook rubber. New inner fenders were rolled and welded to the front fenders to clear the wheels. Powering those 22s down the road is a 5.7L equipped with an Airaid intake and a Flowmaster exhaust. Deon immediately turned his focus on getting the bodywork handled.

Jammie Customs in Jackson, worked hard to get the '97 Chevy body as straight and clean as possible. While in the capable hands of Jammie, the top body line was shaved, as well as the door handles, rear steps, front side-marker lights, and the tailgate was welded shut. You'll also notice the third brake light was frenched into the cab. With the body solid, Robbie Grant went to work applying the PPG Ultra Silver and the tribal flames in House of Kolor Blue, Violet, and Red. The flames pop off the cab and really make the truck a head turner. Turning heads is just as easy inside, too. Every piece of plastic was removed, smoothed, and painted silver to match. Bracy Upholstery in Jackson, reshaped, removed the headrests, and recovered the seats in Katzkin bone and slate leather. The headliner and carpet were also recovered. A BAD Maltese steering wheel is prominent inside the interior and complements the billet shifter and billet pedals. Sounds are provided by a Pioneer head unit, Phoenix Gold amps, and two 10-inch Audiobahn subs under the back seat. Precision Audio in Jackson wired and built the audio system.
