Moving on to the undersides, the truck rolls a little lower to the ground, thanks to a bridge notch, DJM upper and lower A-arms, Contitech airbags, an Air-Zenith air system, Belltech shocks, and a KP Components six-link and front cup setup. Bonspeed Clutch wheels measuring 22x8.5 inches are wrapped in 255/30/22 tires and are slowed by an Alumasport caliper and rotor system from Baer. The engine compartment glitters with cosmetic modifications (billet caps and coil covers, marbleized surfaces, and lots of chrome). An AEM air intake, shorty JBA headers (coated by Jet-Hot) and Flowmaster exhaust help the engine breathe a bit better. The ring and pinion was geared to 4.10 ratio with Superior Gears product. The axle housing and suspension parts were all powdercoated and a sweet Corvette transmission was installed by Cotton Man.
Special thanks go to all the brands and shops we have already mentioned, plus Bill Hancock, Charles Armstrong, and others. Jonathan points out that this project brought him new friends, which he finds far more rewarding than any trophy this award-winning truck has ever won.
