Throughout the history of the automobile, Lincoln has stood for luxury, opulence, and a level of comfort enjoyed by the fortunate. Because of this and the fact that the new Navigator has such unique styling, Giovanna chose Lincoln for its latest custom build-up. Going big is always Giovanna's style, but for this build, the crew would go anti-bling with an approach that epitomizes standing out in a crowd of SUVs that all look the same.

After negotiating the keys for an '07 Lincoln Navigator L, the Giovanna team delivered the SUV to VIP Customz in South Gate, California. While at VIP, the Navigator underwent minor surgery by way of eliminating the door handles and receiving ALSA black clearcoat with a flattening agent to give the flat sheen you see here. The hood center section and roof were sprayed ALSA Ghost Chrome with a flattening agent to resemble the brushed stainless steel hood found on the Giovanna Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe. All of the chrome trim was removed and re-sprayed gloss black or ALSA Ghost Chrome. Also sprayed black were the headlights, taillights, and side markers. Finishing off the body modifications, a Giovanna Edition signature grille in gloss black by DJ Motorsports was installed, along with chrome "G" Giovanna badges on the front doors and hatch. The look is stunning and a double- or triple-take from on-lookers is common fare.

No Giovanna Edition vehicle would be complete without the most stylish wheels from the Giovanna line installed on each corner. As is the case for most of its vehicles, two different style of wheels are found on the Lincoln. Mounted to the driver side are 26x101/2-inch Giovanna Dalar-6 matte black and machined with 295/30R26 Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires protecting the hoops. Seen on the passenger side are Gianelle Dubai matte black and machined wheels with identical Pirelli tires. The matte black wheels actually inspired the paint scheme for the Navigator as luxury and class were the themes of the build. By using two different wheel styles, the personality of the Lincoln quickly changes by taking a 360-degree look at the SUV.

Inside the doors of the Navigator, luxury and lavishness abound. Before leaving the confines of VIP Customz, the team removed all of the matte finish brown wood trim located on the steering wheel, stereo surround, and door panels and re-stained and polished them to match the Rolls Royce piano-black wood trim. Montage Motoring, of Santa Ana, California, recovered all of the seats in black suede with "Giovanna Edition" stitching found in the front headrests. Montage also built the audio system featuring Sony Xplod products. A Sony XAV-W1 head unit sends signals to three Sony Xplod amps. Those amps then, in turn, power three pairs of 61/2-inch Sony components and four 12-inch Sony Xplod subs located in a fiberglass sub box in the cargo area. Of course a Sony iPod adapter was also installed, along with 7-inch Vizualogic headrests monitors with individual DVD players. In case watching a DVD isn't the fortunate passenger's cup of tea, a KVH TracVision was also installed for mobile DirecTv entertainment. Keeping the theme throughout, the roof rack and KVH satellite were painted ALSA Ghost Chrome to match.

Helping power the 5.4L to the closest valet is a Gibson exhaust system. The transformation of this Navigator was a quick process and without question, it's one of the coolest and most luxurious SUVs Giovanna has unleashed to the world. If you're interested, Montage Motoring builds several "Giovanna Edition" conversions every year. For more info, check out wtwcorp.com.
