1992 GMC Sierra - Built To Cruise

The first step in building an asphalt-abusing hauler is first modifying the suspension, and in the case of Luis' Sierra, the only direction to head was south. In order to do so successfully, the truck was dropped off at Mando's Drop Shop in Houston, where it was equipped with McGaughy's drop spindles up front, and a custom two-link setup in the rear. Firestone 'bags were planted at each corner, and to complete the low-slung suspension, a set of slick, 20x8.5-inch Centerline Smoothie wheels covered in 265/40R20 Hankook skins were bolted up to battle the mean streets.

With most of the main components of a true street truck well taken care of, Luis checked his truck in at TC Auto Works in Donna, Texas, where it was stripped clean of the antenna, tailgate handles, and the third brake light. The front bumper was custom-fabricated to sit as flush as possible, and the rear bumper was replaced with a Sir Michael's roll pan for added cleanliness. To really get the truck noticed, a few coats of PPG Daytona Blue were applied to its surface, and a hearty helping of skulls, pinstriping, silver leaf, and true fire flames were layered on to ensure that Luis' ride makes a lasting impression wherever it goes.

The Sierra's cabin received the same attention to detail as its exterior with painted interior plastic, and a dash and center console that was sprayed to match the killer paint scheme. Arjona's Upholstery, in Pasadena, Texas, covered the bucket seats with blue leather and used alligator inserts to add an exotic finishing touch.
