As a successful design, print, and clothing company owner, Graphic Disorder's Brandt Fuqua is enveloped in all things customs, all the time. Only problem with that daily exposure to cool stuff was every time he looked out in the parking lot, his own ride wasn’t unique enough. Having owned several magazine-quality trucks in the past, Brandt wanted to return back to his roots of cruising to shows and hanging out with friends in a ride worthy of his mini-truck heritage. When he got word that a really trick 2007 Nissan Titan was up for sale, rather than feel guilty for not building something of his own, he pulled out the old checkbook and drove home in one sweet ride.

The Johnson City, Tennessee, native went down to Texas to pick up his latest custom ride, which as we showed you last month is without question the truck capital of the world. Arriving in the Lone Star state, Brandt was blown away by the amazing airbrush and paintwork on the Nissan. Chaotic Rods and Customs is known for their quality finishes, and with Guy Robbins helping to shave the door handles, tailgate handle, fuel door, and rear bumper, the Titan was nice and smooth. The PPG Galaxy Black basecoat gives way to silver, blue, and purple graphics thanks to Chris Caldwell and the Chaotic crew. Ed Williamson then stepped in with his airbrush gun and went crazy with skulls, skeletons, and other underworld creatures. Attention to detail, along with the realistic appearance is second to none. One of the sweetest features of the paint is on the hood, where the graphics were laid at a sweeping angle and make the truck look as if it’s in motion. A T-Rex full-face billet grille, Anzo headlights, and smoked taillights keep the custom look flowing from front to rear.

Whereas the paint is stunning, the Nissan’s slammed stance also has heads turning. While the truck was at Chaotic, located in Conroe, Texas, the fellas ’bagged the fullsize using Bio Kustoms 3-inch drop spindles, Slam Specialties RE-7 airbags, ½-inch copper line, and Monroe shocks. Out back, a Texas tradition—the two-link with Panhard bar—keeps the rearend going up and down. Each corner houses 24-inch Status Dynasty wheels wrapped in General 255/30R24 tires. Laying frame is as easy as flipping some switches, and Brandt can air it up and cruise with confidence with several engine mods providing more power to the pavement. From the factory, the 5.6L V-8 is no slouch, but add a throttle-body spacer, K&N air intake, and MagnaFlow exhaust, and this Titan can get downright rowdy.
Cruising to shows requires two basic things: good friends and good tunes. Rockstar Designs in Cypress, Texas, handled the installation of two JL Audio amps, two pairs of JL Audio 6.5-inch components, and building a center console enclosure, which is home to three JL Audio 12w6 subs. A Panasonic in-dash DVD player sends the audio signals, as well as the video signal to each 7-inch SAVV headrest monitors. Texas Auto Trim, located in Houston, wrapped the seats in two-tone grey and black leather.
All in all, this Titan is the perfect cruiser, and one heck of a way to jump into the custom fullsize truck game. Despite the lull in the economy, Brandt proves that spending some greenbacks can get you back—back to your roots.
