2nd Place

Scott Carey's Trailblazer SS was another one of those trucks that just jumps out there and surprises everyone. Stock parts are found on the SS's suspension, brakes, wheels/tires, and even exterior. Nothing hints that this beast is a do-it-all SUV with 430 hp going to all four tires. Scott hung tight during every race and came out in Second Place at the very end by only two points. Admittedly, Scott didn't push the Trailblazer as hard as he could have, which makes us wonder how many seconds he left out on the multiple tracks. Looking at the score sheet, Scott finished in the top three in nearly all of the competitions. In fact, for the speed stop, Scott turned in a time that was just a few tenths off of beating the muscle car times competing in Holley's event, and he's giving up more than a 1,000-pounds to those smaller cars. Proof is in the pudding that it doesn't take an exotic setup to stay in the hunt for the crown. Heck, he could have run to the store for groceries and still come back for the title chase.
