Mission Impossible
Race Class
Place: 4th

A week prior to competing in THROWDOWN presented by Airaid, Julien Maurel blasted down the Mojave Mile at 150 mph, which for an aerodynamic brick is pretty darn fast. With that fun came a big buzzkill, however, as his ECU wiring harness couldn't handle the excessive heat and started making the 740-rwhp Silverado run only sporadically. Even with the setback, Julien still pushed his Silverado as hard as he possibly could, which is admirable, but it didn't result in a win in the ultra-competitive race class. The new NASCAR-style rear suspension setup helped translate all of the power to the ground, but as you would expect, traction was always an issue with 740 hp on tap. Back-to-back years with tuning/wiring issues didn't quell Julien's positive attitude and he seemingly had a great time going as fast as he could, telling us, "It was a lot of fun." Guys like Juilen are what makes the event such a success.
