Paying homage to the Disney movie Cars' tow truck character Tow Mater's rusty brown patina, Jonathan Roberts of Katy, Texas began by choosing a golden bronze metallic-painted F-350 Lariat. He also ordered a new set of "T Mater" plates for the truck to hint at its inspiration. The truck was taken to the pros at Extreme Offroad, in Katy, Texas, where the transformation would begin. In true Texas form, the process started out with a colossal lift: Fabtech's 10-inch radius arm kit with Dirt Logic 4.0 coilover shocks. Then, a pair of Ranch Hand Legend steel bumpers was added, along with an Action drop ball mount in the rear for towing trailers. Other exterior touches include a Spyder headache rack, Spyder LED taillights, and a UWS toolbox. Topping off the exterior is a set of 22-inch BMF Novakane wheels in Stealth finish with 40-inch Toyo Open Country M/T tires.
Jonathan's colossal Super Duty is a perfect example of tough Texas style, thanks to his creative vision and the expertise of the team at Extreme Offroad. We think it would fit in well alongside Tow Mater in the next Cars film, although this truck's gargantuan stance and imposing attitude might just scare kids in the audience.
