6th Place

Ever feel like sometimes the universe is just out to get you? Returning THROWDOWN competitor Bill Alvis knows the feeling, after shredding his LS-powered S-10's axle at last year's event. This year, the bad luck returned as he blew his transmission's Third gear, but this time it was immediately after our competition instead of during it. This allowed him to claim Third Place in both autocross and drag events, and finish mid-pack in slalom and speed stop. It just goes to show the versatility of a light, V-8-powered S-10 with an experienced driver. Even after ending the weekend with a crippled truck, Bill was upbeat and determined to iron out his drivetrain issues once and for all by next year.
