7th Place

Those of you that follow Truckin will no doubt recognize Project Blue Bomber. We're transforming this base-model 2011 Silverado into a daily-drivable performance truck, so what better place to test its limits than THROWDOWN? With an Edelbrock-supercharged 4.8L, sticky Nitto tires, and a full Belltech suspension, Blue Bomber was quick in the corners, earning points in both autocross and slalom. However, it didn't have quite enough straight-line oomph in the quarter-mile, and its stock front discs and rear drum brakes let it down in the speed stop, resulting in a Seventh-Place finish. Nevertheless, we've learned from the experience, and more power, better gearing, and big brakes are in this truck's near future.
