Even if it is a Sierra it's the exact same as a Silverado anyway!

Why change the GMC Sierra's modestly-good-looking grille with that of it's ugly sister model (the Chevrolet Silverado)? Is this guy dumb? Or is he experimenting with what GM does already?

I would stop talking as you speaking misinformation. The pcms are the same. typical 411 pcm doesn't matter if from a fbody, vette, truck or etc. but youre on the net and your a pro at what you do

This was a fun build and was a pleasure to work with the owner on this. Looks may be deceiving but trust me don't judge a book by its cover there was a lot of time and effort in this phase of the build. Many of the gripes people have has currently been addressed and truck is better than ever. Chris has done a lot more work than most would ever put into their truck and its current iteration is gorgeous. I will let the owner reveal it when he feels time is right. Congrats again Chris and good job

Its my truck, bought it missing a bunch of stuff. It is a sierra but had 1/2 of a silverado clip on it already. Slapped all kinds of parts laying around from other cars and projects. Put it together in less than a month drove it from Pittsburgh, pa to bowling green, Kentucky to ls fest. Went on drag strip, autocross, speed stop, and slalom, then drove it home. But no one read that - because I'm not someone's "boy they know" on the internet. Cause in 2014 if your not the fastest in the E-world you might as well jump off a bridge

The GMC is a luxury work truck a Chevy is just a work truck tuning the engine is easier and better when your want power torque and speed on a GMC the Chevy is a better all around truck for longevity! I have had a Silverado 2500HD and now my Seirra 1500, and I hate to say it I prefer my Seirra over the Chevy version! To each their own and who you saying trigger happy learn your facts before calling people out. I never called anyone out just said that it looks like a SS not a Seirra!

Patrick Hamilton

Almost the same, their is a few minor differences in them from the transmission to 1 or 2 minor visual tweaks like the grill and front bumper.

David West

Ignorance is all over the place on this post! My first thought was front clip being changed but I find it funny to read thru the trigger happy posts first. Someone said what a disgrace but in a reality everything is the same on Chevy vs GMC besides some sheet metal and badging. And to answer the last question the Chevy has the more desired front end because of the cat eye headlights different grille fenders etc. Some prefer that look better and it's simple and cheap to swap the front clips

Chris Downey

you do realize the sierra and silverado are the exact same truck right?

Gar Color

Is that a calico silverado haha

Patrick Hamilton

Why would he put a Chevy SS front end on it grrr that ruins it and is a disgrace to my Seirra! I mean mine doesn't have nearly as much work done to it and it runs a 13.75 on a 1/4 blows the does off any Chevy I know! I would never change my emblem!

Austin Moore

To be honest, I've never heard of people doing front end swaps like that. I just don't know why. Not saying it's a bad thing, but I'm just curious as to why people do that? Just looks or is it something different?
