World Record HolderWieck Media Services reports that the GM HydroGen3 fuel cell prototype set a new world endurance record by breaking the distance record for fuel cell technology. The HydroGen3 traveled a total distance of 3,400 miles (5,471 km) while covering a 14-country tour over a total of 6,200 miles, finishing in the Portuguese capitol of Lisbon. The journey began May 3 in Hammerfest, Norway. DaimlerChrysler set the previous distance record of 3,262 miles.
