* Once again, it issilver that beats out all other colors for the most popular title. PPG says that 27 percent of all '04 models were ordered in silver, up 3 percent from 2003. Red and white tie for second, while black brings in third.

* Ford says it will counter GM's XM offerings by making available Sirius satellite radio in as many as 20 of its vehicles by 2007.

* Toyota announced that the new Tacoma will start at just $13,415.

Correcting Ourselves
On page 154 of our Heavy Hauling coverage that appears in our Nov. '04 issue, we mention that the Tri-Y headers from Doug Thorley Headers boosts mid-rpm performance on the Ford V-10 by 247 hp and 40 lb-ft of torque. We should have noticed that these figures are optimistic, to say the least. In reality, the manufacturer expects an increase of 23.5 hp and 38.5 lb-ft of torque.
