Late-model Ford F-150's on the West Coast have typically been treated to the burly pre-runner look, and when built right, they can look out-of-this-world cool. Mike Duvall from Off Road Unlimited in Burbank, California, crafted a sanitary '04 model, fullsize Blue Oval with just the right stance, burly wheels and rubber, and trick paint to boot. Check out this hot pickup next month.

The '88-'98 Chevy pickups have been a staple on the custom truck scene for several years, and it never seems to amaze us when a fresh one with off-the-hook custom style busts out. Jason Harper out of New Jersey built a '93 Sportside we refer to as The Juice Box. Jason's truck lays hard thanks to a healthy body drop and wears a bright-orange blanket of color over numerous metal modifications. Take a closer look at this smooth Chevy in our next issue.

In the mini-truck arena, the Toyota Tacoma has generated quite a bit of interest. Mark Lindsey from Lubbock, Texas, holds the title to an '01 S-Runner model Taco and hauled the little mini over to Hill's Hot Rods for a custom makeover. Mark's truck sports staggered 18-inch front and 19-inch rear Intro billet wheels and rides low on air suspension. A combination of PPG and Auto Air Colors paint covers the smoothed body. Check out Mark's rockin' Taco in issue No. 12.

Tailgate Party
Mounting subwoofers in truck beds has been a popular modification for many years. Doing so can help free up space inside the cab and can create the ultimate tailgate party experience. Recently, we followed along with the buildup of a custom bed kit featuring a duet of subwoofers and custom-upholstered bed panels over at Audio Innovations in Glendora, California. The team at AI even built a custom ice chest into the bed floor. Take a look at some of the shots from this wild custom buildup that didn't make it into the printed article.
Shows
Causing Some Havoc
This year, we got wild in Kentucky for the first Havoc show put on by sister publications Sport Truck and Mini Truckin'. From hot show trucks to an all-out drag off with showering sparks lighting up the night skies, Havoc had something for everyone. Take a look at some extra shots we didn't have room for in the magazine.
