Georgia Plum
Janice Sheppard of Osteen, Florida, saw this '89 Chevy pickup with purple flames at a Waycross, Georgia, show and just couldn't leave without it. After realizing the engine wasn't up to par, she put a new 350 GM powerplant under the hood and added a dual Flowmaster exhaust. The flames were customized to fade to blue, and 17-inch American Racing wheels were added, along with a '98 custom chrome grille. For now, it's still her daily driver, but one day she'll park it for show only.
Pipeliner's Dream
Not only is this Jerry Yoho's of Flora Vista, New Mexico, daily driver, but it's also his daily work truck. He started with an '04 Dodge 3500 Cummins-powered truck, but then Jerry removed the bed and built his own 3/16-inch floor and 109A on the sides. All the chrome is polished stainless. The welding unit is a 1979 that he chopped 5-1/2 inches off of, so he can see out of the rear window. The bottom of the bed is wrapped in 1-1/2x1-1/2-inch stainless. The side marker lights are off of a '68 Dodge Charger and a Plymouth Road Runner, which he found at a salvage yard. This is definitely a pipeliner's dream truck
Flaming Mini
Jeremy Shepherd from Watertown, South Dakota, is very proud to say he, his uncle, and his friends did all of the work on this truck themselves, including the paint. Not only are there 4-inch drop spindles and airbags up front, but there are 2-inch drop springs in the rear with 2-inch drop blocks. There are also two switches in the cab to adjust the ride height. The truck has a full body kit and 17-inch American Racing wheels wrapped in P215/35R17 Falken tires. With the air out of the 'bags, it sits about 1 inch off the ground. How low can you go?
Standing On All Fours
This 496ci big-block '83 Chevy C10 4x4, belonging to Keith Haney of Harrison, Arizona, is a family project that started about three years ago. It has Merlin oval port heads, an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake, a Mighty Demon 850 carb, Hooker Super Comp headers with 3-inch Flowmasters, and a MSD 6AL ignition with a Turbo 400 and a 2,800-stall converter. The truck sits on 3/4-ton axles with 4.56 gears, with a posi unit up front and a Detroit locker in the rear with 6-inch Rough Country springs and a 3-inch body lift that sits on 16x10-inch Weld Stone Crusher wheels. Bryan won First Place in the 4-Wheel Jamboree burnout competitions and mud drags.
The Nemesis
Eighteen-year-old Richard Feulner, Jr. of Hendersonville, Tennessee, has been working on this truck for more than a year now. The name was given to his truck after being pulled over for the thirteenth - yes, the thirteenth time - and the officer told him he was becoming quite a nemesis. We don't know if Richard is proud of the name, but it's certainly a cool truck. As for mods, the Ford F-150 Nemesis rides on 17x8-inch chrome KMC Slam wheels wrapped by P275/60R17 Goodyear Eagle GT IIs. The front has a Trenz billet grille and APC clear corners with green bulbs, and there's also Ford Racing Euro taillights, dual pipes, an underbody glow kit, and much more.
