Don't Call It Stock! This clean '96 Dodge Ram 1500 is Brad Parker's daily driver, so he wanted to make sure it was a head-turner. First off, the V-6 engine was modified with a JET Performance Stage II chip and a K&N intake. With the addition of a Street Scene grille insert, the exterior of the truck no longer looks stock, and 20-inch Stealth KMC wheels wrapped by Nittos really set off the stance. Brad can't wait to check the next mod off his list.
The Truck With the Lime SmileMark Elmer of Odenton, Maryland, has fully customized his '97 Chevy S-10. The truck is equipped with a 2.2L I-4 engine, a K&N intake, and a Flowmaster exhaust. The pickup's suspension includes a 3-inch drop in the front with a 4-inch drop in back. The billet grille is accented with clear lenses. Mark's newest addition to the truck is the lime-green-flamed suit that matches the emerald-green fabric in the interior.
Custom BankruptcyEver since Michael Shope of Overland Park, Kansas, purchased his '92 Chevy K-1500 Blazer, he's been spending money like crazy. Special detailed tint was added, a Viper alarm was installed, a K&N air filter was added, and Euro taillights were bolted into place. The interior was upgraded for passenger enjoyment by adding an Alpine CD player with a six-disc changer. For now, the truck rolls on 23-inch Diamo wheels and Nitto rubber, but when winter rolls in, they'll be changed to Chevy Z-71 wheels.
Greenville SlammerBrandon Massey of Greenville, South Carolina, created this ground-scraping '99 Ford F-150. Brandon began his journey of modifications by shaving the tailgate and taillights. He soon tinted the windows and added an '03 Navigator front clip to go with the custom fenders. The truck rides on 22-inch KMC wheels, which cruise within Dunlop rubber. For entertainment, the interior has a Pioneer DEH-640 CD player, a PlayStation 2, and 5-inch LCD monitors. Soon Brandon plans to do a body drop, spray on some custom paint, and smooth the inside of the bed.
Black KnightThis clean '01 Chevy Silverado rolls the streets of Star City, Arkansas. The owner, Bruce Goodman, spared no expense in making it a radical custom. For starters, Bruce replaced the factory front clip with one off of a Cadillac Escalade. The truck was dropped 2 inches and rides on 20-inch wheels wrapped by Ventus tires. After future modifications are performed, Bruce hopes to show off his truck once again in the pages of Truckin'. Keep us posted, Bruce.
Editor's Note: Getting your truck into Readers' Rides is a snap -- of the camera, that is. All it takes is a couple of good-quality photos of your ride that are in focus and well lit. Due to the volume of mail we receive, we regret that we cannot return photographs. Please shoot and send photos of your truck only (no people, pets, Polaroids, or printouts) to: Truckin' Magazine, Readers' Rides, 2100 E. Howell Ave., Ste. 209, Anaheim, CA 92806. It is important that you include a detailed description of the modifications you have made to your truck, including any interesting stories behind it. This can include information about the buildup or any special history the truck has.
