Halfway There
This Dodge, proclaimed to be halfway finished by its owner, Richard Kellems, roams the streets of Columbus, Indiana, on 20-inch Diablo Viennas wrapped by Nitto Extreme rubber. At least the bottom half is finished! A Sir Michaels roll pan, third brake light, Street Scene upper and lower grilles, and Street Scene mirrors adorn the exterior. The rather finished-looking paintjob is Corvette Nassau-Blue Metallic, and the interior was modified to match the painted dash pieces. The truck also has an Alpine system with Infinity Kappa 6-3/4-inch speakers. If this is only halfway finished, we can't wait to see the finished product!
Persistence, Persistence
Thad Harbour of Austin, Texas, is more than proud of his Ford Harley-Davidson F-150. Remember what we said about modesty? Not only did Thad want his truck in Readers' Rides, but he demanded to have his truck featured as well. We love to make our readers happy, so here is half of that demand. Compromise is the key to any successful relationship - even when it comes to trucks. Some of the modifications for this truck include 20-inch Epic Claws surrounded by Nitto rubber, a Street Scene grille, a MagnaFlow exhaust, and a Vortech supercharger. As soon as Thad adds his next addition, a custom hood, he believes his truck will be complete. Let us know when it's finished, Thad.
Nip and Tuck
At only 19 years of age, Pat Mcdermott of Bridgeton, New Jersey, has completed a complete makeover of his '87 Chevy S-10. The truck had liposuction done in back and front, giving the truck a nice 3-inch drop, a few aging spots were taken off before Bleeding Edge Performance completed the Medium-Pearl Blue paintjob, and a Sir Michaels steel roll pan finishes off the operation. The stock mirrors were changed to Street Scene mirrors and a front end facelift in the shape of a Trenz Billet grille was also installed. We hope the recuperation period didn't last long after installing those 20-inch Supreme wire wheels and Kumho rubber.
Skyjacker
Dale Martin of Bellevue, Ohio, began modifying his '98 1/2-ton extended cab Dodge Ram by installing a 5-inch Skyjacker suspension lift and 3-inch Performance Accessories body lift. What kind of wheels goes with a heaven-high Dodge? Mickey Thompson Classic Lock wheels, of course. The interior has a Kenwood system and a set of subs. Clay at C.A. Customs took care of the paintjob, including the flames. Dale's Dodge will soon be wearing 29-inch rubber to extend the lift a little sky-higher.
Goldfinger
This once-stock Dodge is now a truck Pussy Galore would be proud to cruise in. Lee Heckel of Oregon, Ohio, made it a point to convert his '99 Dodge Dakota into a serious head-turner. With its House of Kolor Kandy Pagan Gold paintjob and Spoke Players wheels, a ride like this is the perfect decoy for any of Lee's secret plans. Included with the conversion is a top and bottom Speed grille with undercarriage lights. Kicker components, a TV and DVD player, and an Xtant amp provide the ultimate in high-class entertainment.
Hometown Boy
Shaved doors, emblems, moldings, and Street Scene mirrors are just a few of the extra goodies placed on this '88 Chevy S-10 owned by Jimmy Dommert. All of the work for his truck was performed right there in his hometown of Mountain View, Arkansas. The truck sits on 20-inch American Racing Terons wrapped in Wanli rubber, and the power under the hood consists of a '98 Vortec with a dual-plane intake. The current audio system is a Sony head unit pushed by a 600-watt amp. Jimmy plans to add a phantom grille and a tweed interior - all done by locals, of course.
