Raised and Exposed
Chris Gonzales of Clovis, California, flies above everyone else in his '00 Chevy Silverado that's lifted 14-1/2 inches. Chris proudly told us that his truck is a show-winner, with First Place awards in both 4x4 Trucks and Best of Show in the Annual Sand Spanker & Off-Road Show. After lifting his truck, Chris mounted a set of hefty 38-inch Super Swampers on Weld Typhoons. The inside of the truck includes an Eclipse deck, with Eclipse mids and highs powered by Arc Audio amplifiers.
Attention Deficit
Rob Payne, from Mt. Vernon, Illinois, built a red-hot '00 Chevy S-10 Xtreme. The truck was dropped 2 inches in the front and 3 inches at the rear. Rob shaved the badges off the truck and added black vinyl over the Bow Tie in the grille. For sound entertainment, a Kenwood head unit was installed with a Planet Audio amp and Infiniti Kappa speakers. For exposure at night, a Street Glow undercarriage neon kit was installed. This S-10 should grab some considerable attention.
Blue Persuasion
Nothing gets through the cold days on the road like Brett Shanahan's '02 Dodge Ram 1500. Having a 4x4 in Alaska is a must for the rough terrain. Brett began modifying his truck by changing the stock front fascia to a Street Scene grille. Along with removing the emblems, Brett painted the mirrors and handles to match the body color and tinted the windows. A K&N 3-inch air filter was installed, as well as a Superchips module to maintain maximum performance. Plans include shaving the rear and the tailgate handle, along with extra performance upgrades.
