2006 Ford F150 Supercrew - Readers' Rides

By Brandan Gillogly

To get your truck featured in Readers' Rides, e-mail a high-resolution photo of your truck to brandan.gillogly@primedia.com. Send in a front 3/4 or profile shot, and make sure it's big enough. We print at a much higher resolution than a website, which means that sending links to photos posted online won't necessarily work. Also, be sure to include plenty of information about you and your truck. If you want to get your ride noticed by posting it on our newest community feature, Truckin' Readers' Rides Online, go to rides.truckinweb.com. You can upload as many as 20 photos of your vehicle, along with detailed descriptions.

2006 Ford F150 Supercrew Front View

Scott Smith from Liberty, Missouri, decided his '06 F-150 SuperCrew Flareside should get the Mustang treatment. Matt Keller at MK Motorsports helped Scott out with a Street Scene Equipment grille and lights that give the hint of a Mustang at the front. The Ram air hood from APM is fully functional and Scott also added dual MagnaFlow exhaust straight out the back. Wheels are 20x10 KMC XD778s, which were wrapped in 33x13.5 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZs. His future plans include a bigger brake package and a Procharger for some serious power.

Monte Miller's '07 Dodge Ram Big Horn Edition now sports a Lund tonneau cover and Dodge carpeted bed liner. Putco mirror covers, door handle covers, and a tailgate handle cover match the chrome factory side moldings and step bars. For a little bit of extra power, Monte added a Flowmaster exhaust with a chrome Dodge stainless steel exhaust tip.

Ken Ottinger from Wasilla, Alaska, painted his '04 Chevy Z71 with realistic flames and bolted on a 2/3 drop. Dip D22 20-inch wheels and Goodyear Eagle II P275/45R20 tires replaced the boring factory rolling attire. Keeping with the true-flames theme, Ken also shot his '05 Arctic Cat M6, which he painted to match the truck.

A Readers' Rides veteran, Shelly Post had her '99 Silverado in print five years ago. Her new ride is this '07 Silverado with all sorts of GM goodies, including chrome tow hooks, door handles, mirror covers, a fuel door, chrome steps, and 20-inch wheels. A Carriage Works billet grille finishes off the bright work.

Dirk Palmgren's '01 Tahoe is nearing completion, as the 25-year-old guy from St. Paul, would still like to add a paintjob, a supercharger, and a fiberglass sub enclosure, among other things. But so far, he has the bodywork down pat. He's removed the molding and welded in the AIM Industries roll pan, himself. He also installed the Flowmaster exhaust and smoked the taillights. Rolling stock is a set of 22-inch Moto MT100 wheels, which were wrapped in Toyo Proxes rubber. Inside of the truck, you'll find two Alpine 10-inch subs and a Sony Xplod amp.

Rylan's Crew Cab Colorado is wearing a fresh set of TIS 20-inch wheels and 255/35/20 Raptor tires. Inside, an Alpine 12-inch sub thumps from under the rear bench, while Alpine components fill the remaining factory locations. Up next, he has plans for a body kit and a suspension drop.
