Pretty In Purple
Maynard Clay Morris hails from Alaska, and his '05 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD is a regular snow beast. The powerful 8.1L engine has been enhanced with a Borla dual exhaust and a high-flow intake system. In the looks department, Maynard's truck now boasts a Maxx Cam three-inch leveling kit, 18-inch MotoMetal wheels, BFG tires, and a custom Plum Crazy colored paintjob complete with ghost flames. There's no chance of missing this truck while cruising around The Last Frontier.
Ian Hazeltine, from Tuscon, Arizona, always wanted to lower a Chevy Colorado, and he finally had the chance when he purchased and dropped his '07 model with a Belltech 3-4 kit. Since Ian loves to trek into the mountains and off-road trails of Southern Arizona, he couldn't very well do that in his lowered Bow Tie, so he got himself a slightly modified '72 Ford F-250. The 4-inch lift, 16-inch wheels covered in Hankook tires, and wonderfully maintained original paint, make for a successful combination. Ian certainly is a luck guy.
Aaron Leff's Dodge Ram Sport has been dropped with a Ground Force 2/4 lowering kit (recently transformed from its 5/7 stance for better drivability), and is sitting on a fresh set of 22-inch Eagle Alloy wheels wrapped in 305/45R22 Toyo Proxes. Inside the cab is a 7-inch flip out monitor, two Kicker CVR 12-inch subs in a custom enclosure, 1,000-watt Sony amp, JBL tweeters, and Pioneer fullrange speakers in the door panels. Aaron is from Dallas, Texas, where custom trucks are nothing to be taken lightly, which is exactly why he has decked out his ride with tremendously clean style.
George Reinstadtler, from Ruffs Dale, Pennsylvania, has built a beauty of a '69 C10. It received a '67 front clip transplant, and has been given a stellar two-tone paintjob by Mike Sanner of Sanner's Auto Body, and the moldings have been airbrushed by Ron Rich of Creator Customs. The suspension has been dropped with the help of a 3-inch front and 4-inch rear drop kit, and a set of 20-inch Panther wheels set the new stance off perfectly. Custom front and rear roll pans, a steel cowl hood, and one-piece windows help attract double-takes all day long, while Dakota Digital gauges, a chrome tilt steering wheel and custom seats provide George with a comfy in-cab driving experience.
