In preparation for a Readers' Rides extravaganza, we're asking all you, especially those of you who are serving in our military, who have not sent in pictures of your truck, to please send an email to john.mata@sorc.com. We'll have more rides than ever to check out in an upcoming issue and it's up to you to make sure your pride and joy is among the chosen few. Remember to take high-resolution photos and try to find a good background.

X-Rated
We love to see trucks that are a little out of the norm, and the Toyota X-Runner is a truck that can achieve 'knockout' status with the right mods. David Salas understands this, as his '05 X features a 3-4 DJM drop, a C-notched frame, and 19x8-inch ASA JH9 wheels with 255/40R19 Vredestein Sessanta rubber at each corner. The exterior features a recessed grille with Audi silver paint coating the inner lip, and projector headlight housings with color-matching accents. The interior features two-tone black and silver suede seats and painted dash trim. Future plans include an electric ragtop and a fully adjustable coilover suspension that will transform this factory supercharged truck into a race-ready hauler in no time.

Lo-Rod
Well, it looks like Ricardo Gonzalez's '09 Chevy Colorado has seen more action than the streets of Fort Worth, Texas, where Ricardo is from, as this photo was shot in Hawaii. Ricardo's truck came equipped with the factory ZQ8 suspension, but he dropped the rear 11/4 inches to get the exact stance he was after. The stock wheels were powdercoated black, and to push the dark theme further, he also smoked the taillights. Ricardo even hacked up the 'Colorado' badge and spelled out his truck's nickname 'Lo-Rod' on the tailgate instead. Ricardo also happens to be a proud Marine; so clearing out time from his busy schedule to work on his project isn't exactly easy. Thank you for your service, Ricardo, and keep up the great work.

To Hubby With Love
We got an interesting email from Jenifer Rancour, who seems to be a great companion to her custom truck-loving better half, John. They are celebrating their 4th wedding anniversary this year, and since the traditional fourth year gift is flowers, Jenifer figured that arranging to have John's truck showcased in his favorite magazine would be a much better gift to him. His '82 Jimmy has been chopped, and features a full Cadillac Escalade interior for the ultimate in cruising comfort. The two-tone silver and blue paint scheme has been peppered with low-key tribal flame graphics, and the 22-inch wheels give this classic truck an updated appearance. Jenifer has informed us that John had to give this truck up, which must have been heartbreaking, but we're sure he'll find another project to jump into soon. Happy anniversary from everyone on the Truckin' staff.

RIDE OF THE MONTH

Flaming Hot Ford
Mike St. John, from London, Kentucky, has been working on his '92 Ford F-150 for quite a while now, which is definitely noticeable. So far, he has conducted some awesome body modifications to the Blue Oval's skin, and has dipped it into a custom color mix, which includes pearl, and a liberal amount of clear.

The full sheetmetal bed must attract loads of positive attention—we're digging the details here. The truck lays body atop 20-inch DIP wheels and 245/40R20 Kumho tires, but 22s are coming in the very near future. Very impressive, Mike.
