To get your truck featured in Readers’ Rides, email a high-resolution photo of your truck to Maxwell.Matthewson@sorc.com. Send in a front 3⁄4 or profile shot of your truck, and make sure it’s big enough. For a digital file, try to make it at least 1MB. Don’t use your cell phone! We print at a much higher resolution than a website, which means that sending links to photos posted online won’t work. Also, please make sure that the whole truck is in the frame, don’t cutoff the front or back of the truck. Remember, this is your pride and joy. Do your best to make your truck look it’s best. Also, make sure to include plenty of information about you and your truck. The more information, the better the article. If you want to get your ride noticed by posting it on our website, go to rides.truckinweb.com. Upload up to 20 photos of your vehicle, along with detailed descriptions.
A Rolling Tribute
J.W. Pardini loved two things, his family and his truck. Unfortunately, J.W. was killed in a car accident on February 14, 2011. J.W. spent most of his time wrenching on his 2003 Ford Lightning SVT. A 2/4 drop kit gives this Lightning a better stance while 20-inch Panther wheels wrapped in Goodyear rubber keep the truck looking good. J.W. installed billet grille inserts, a smoothie roll pan, clear corner lights, shaved the door handles and tailgate handle, installed Lamborghini doors, and painted the whole truck a custom blue. Under the custom cowl hood, the 5.4L engine has been outfitted with a 76mm turbo, custom exhaust, and several painted pieces. Inside, there are even more smoothed and painted plastics, along with a full sound system hooked up to an Xbox for downtimes. J.W. will surely be missed, and his family wanted to dedicate this feature to their son and brother, J.W. Pardini.
