Like cookies and milk, the Fourth of July and fireworks, coffee and creamer, and peanut butter and jelly, a few things in life just naturally go together. Trucks and dirt bikes - more specifically, Ram and Motocross - are a newly partnered pair that fit into this category. The Ram Truck brand and SRT Motorsports have jumped into the AMA Pro Racing’s 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship (outdoor) series by partnering with RCH Racing (Ricky Carmichael and Carey Hart). Broc Tickle, who finished ninth in the 17-race (stadium) Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series, will pilot his No. 20 RCH Racing Suzuki RMZ 450 in the 12-race AMA Pro Motocross Championship series. In his outdoor rookie season last year, he finished third overall. In last weekend’s season opener at Hangtown, he finished 12th. The Ram brand will be displayed on the bikes and hauler, with the goal of reaching a new audience in younger truck buyers. Dirt bike events and races attract row upon row of fullsize pickup trucks, as these trucks are best suited for carrying dirt bikes and accessories and for towing trailers. As Tickle stated, “Having Ram on-board for the motocross season is really cool because our fans are die-hards and they love trucks.” The outdoor series will hold races nearly every weekend through August 24.

For the last ten years, the city of San Dimas has enjoyed custom cars, trucks, rods, and muscle machines at one of SoCal's premier shops. With The Custom Truck Shop and L&G Enterprises joining forces under one roof, custom car and truck lovers officially have a one-stop shop for all of their aftermarket, paint, and body repair needs. Each year, the family-owned business opens their doors for a day filled with good people, good food, good tunes, and good times. This year marked the seventh anniversary of the Relaxing in SoCal car and truck show. Put on by Relaxed Atmosphere at Alpine Electronics North America's headquarters in Torrance, California, this is one of the last quality shows in Southern California. The threat of rain didn't keep the crowds away, as over 800 people cruised around checking out the multitudes of cars, trucks, and bikes.

For those of us residing in the western states, the mere mention of a weekend at the river evokes thoughts of hitting the water in our boats and jet-skis, relaxing in our RVs, getting a little tipsy, and having a blast. However, in case that’s not enough motivation to make the trek through the desert, one weekend in April provides a guarantee of even more to do. Friday, April 26th marks the beginning of West Coast Nationals, a show that packs the small town of Parker, Arizona with custom vehicles of every kind. Hosted at scenic La Paz County Park on the banks of the Colorado, West Coast Nats provides both a beautiful show venue and a great opportunity to camp, party, and hit the river all weekend long. Walking the show grounds, we were greeted with tons of slammed full-size trucks, minis, classics, and muscle cars. And, when the 100-degree heat got to be too much, the cool water nearby provided the perfect relief—it doesn’t get much better than that. The 28th Annual Fabulous Fords Forever car and truck event was, as usual, a major hit amongst car and truck enthusiasts. Thousands of car and truck enthusiasts packed the Knott’s Berry Farm parking lot Sunday, April 21st, to revel over the multitudes of Fords, Lincolns, and Mercurys in attendance.

It was a picture-perfect weekend in Conroe, Texas, as more than 800 custom trucks and cars made Lonestar Throwdown the best show of the season. Clear, sunny skies and temps in the low 70s made the custom paint shine, while smells of BBQ and burgers filled the show grounds. The laid-back atmosphere from last year continued into 2013 and if you wanted to cruise the grounds, all you needed was gas in the tank. With several "Best Of" trophies and cash money awarded, the show saw some of Texas' best show trucks all at one venue.

We could have filed the news that vintage SUVs are growing in popularity under the “tell us something we don’t know” department, because we’re obviously big fans of old-school utes around here. But it’s always nice to know the rest of the world is starting to pay attention, too.

It’s time once again for our annual THROWDOWN performance truck competition, and we’re looking for new truck owners to participate. The event includes 1/4-mile drag, slalom, stop box, and road course events where you can see how fast your truck really is. The event will take place in the southern California area on Friday, May 31st.

If there's one thing Florida is known for, it is its beautiful but unpredictable weather. After last year's Spring Fling was spoiled by rain, the threat was there again this year. The forecast didn't have sun showing for days; however, on Saturday morning when over five hundred custom trucks piled into Frank Brown Park in beautiful Panama City Beach, there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Throughout the day, temperatures hit the high 90's, and everyone had a blast at Spring Fling 2013.

If you’re not from the Golden State, odds are that the mention of California makes you think of the bustling streets of LA, the fish markets of San Francisco, or maybe even the beautiful beaches of the central coast. However, there’s much more to Cali than these iconic locations. The San Joaquin Valley spans much of the center of the state, and its rural farmland is home to some of California’s finest show trucks. The Danger Zone show began in 2005 as a venue for these trucks, and nine years later, it’s still going strong. Hosted in the tree-lined Mooney Grove Park in Visalia, the show saw a massive turnout of hundreds of trucks, ranging from slammed to sky-high and everything in between. The pleasant April weather and row upon row of custom vehicles made for a relaxing Saturday afternoon. The 27th annual Spring Break Nationals were held March 2-3, 2013. Touted as more than just a car show, Spring Break Nationals is a must see. If you missed it, here are over 200 photos from the event.

Back in 1999 Local Minis member Bruce Rivera was involved in a serious motorcycle accident when he was struck by a drunk driver. That accident required multiple blood donors to help him throughout the recovery process. The members of the club decided to put on a show and bring in the Bloodmobile to help Bruce. The show was a success and along with record donors also brought awareness of the casualties of drunk driving.

At the ripe old age of 16, Forbidden Fantasy is one of the last surviving shows in Southern California. This years show, held the weekend of March 16-17, brought out entrants from Central California, Nevada, Arizona, and even Colorado. The weather could not have been better with clear skies and a high of 80 degrees on both days. Along with the multitude of custom vehicles, spectators enjoyed dozens of vendors, db drag racing, a bikini contest, and a raffle.

Today is the fourth and final day of the 2012 SEMA Show. Check out some of the best trucks in attendance as we wrap up another great year in Las Vegas.

The end of day 3 has brought us to the last two halls, North and Central. The North hall featured primarily hand tool, paint and body, and accessory companies. Also, many of the audio companies are in the North hall. The Central hall, which was probably the busiest hall all weekend, is home to Ford, Chevrolet, and Toyota among other auto manufacturers. Hot Rod Alley is also in Central hall, with a ton of the performance companies. With only one day to go, SEMA 2012 is almost in the books. Check back tomorrow to see the best of the best from this year’s SEMA show.

Day 2 of the SEMA show is in the books. Today we covered the upper and lower levels of the South hall. The lower level is home to the majority of the wheel and tire companies. Walking around this hall reveals some of the most oddball tire companies from China and beyond as well as all of the name brand tires like Nitto, Continental, and Falken. Upstairs is the truck, SUV, and off-road companies. This is our favorite section and we spend probably the most time there. Tomorrow, we have another full day of walking around, checking up on the newest products, and shooting trucks. Be sure to check back tomorrow for more coverage of SEMA 2012.

Today was the first of the four days here at the Las Vegas Convention Center. As is every year, it was a hectic day of everyone doing last minute touch ups, shining wheels, and setting up booths. With three different halls and a whole outside area, we have a long week ahead of us of shooting. For this first web exclusive we have all of the hottest vehicles from outside the halls. Take 23 Ford SVT Raptors, add one thousand miles off-road twists and turns, and what do you get? Welcome to Outlaw Offroad's 2nd annual Raptor Expeditions Land Rush 1000. This 1,000 mile off-road adventure puts every driver’s skills to the test. Fast, high speed driving, pushing the truck to its and the drivers limits, was just the beginning. Starting in the early hours of Las Vegas, Nevada on October 27, 2012, 23 Ford SVT Raptors set off for a two day venture through some of the best desert roads in California, Nevada, and Arizona. Cruising down the trails full of sand, rocks, and shrubs, took a toll on a few trucks in the early morning. Blown shocks, broken mounts, and overheating engines were just the beginning but everyone came together and helped each other fix their trucks.

As one of the longest running shows in the South, Slamfest celebrated its 21st year at the Alachua County Fairgrounds in Gainesville, Florida. Since its move from Central Florida, Slamfest had been plagued with bad weather. For the first time ever the skies were clear and over 600 vehicles arrived ready to show for the exciting two-day show. Some of the perks to Slamfest were the ever popular bikini contest with cash prizes, club games that showcased some new and interesting challenges and a portable dyno trailer was set up for everyone to enjoy.

Some top winners were Beau Stevenson for best engine in his '55 Ford F100, Bobby Mast for best under construction with his '79 Chevy C10, Jay Bird for best suspension with his '06 Chevy 2500 and best truck went to Jason Ballard with his '94 Chevy. Setting highs in both vehicles and attendance with over 5,000, show promoter Mike Murray wishes to thank all the supporters and especially his crew MiniMadness for their hard work and dedication.
